About J’s maps



Included in this web site is a series of maps (3D video game levels) for Unreal and Unreal Tournament I made beginning in early 2001, to the present day.

Approximately one hundred titles, including mods, skins and tutorials.

All maps are 100% original, one of a kind, custom made from scratch and are not modified, imported or copied from any other maps.

Most maps are made to run equally well in original Unreal and Unreal Tournament. Some maps are for Unreal Tournament only. Some mods (like the HyperMed) will not transfer over to UT and will revert to their default UT pickups.

Some maps (Westworld, FRINGE, Escher's Waterfall) are made not necessarily as full blown game levels, but are meant to be a type of stand alone sculpture or self guided tour, and may contain only one player start, without any pickups or path nodes.

One of the most intriguing aspects of 3D modeling is anything you can think of or imagine, you can pretty much build it with the Unreal engine. Step inside your own creations, look around and explore with friends and colleagues from around the world.

The main objective of these maps is, along with the aid of lighting, special effects, background audio and music to create highly immersive environments, famous locations or landmarks that cannot normally be experienced in the real world. Literally the stuff dreams are made of.
